How Ogovy Works

Ogovy answers one question: what does this treatment cost at each dose, from every regulated UK pharmacy that publishes a price? Here is how the service is put together and how to use it.

Using the site in four steps

1Start with your dosePrices differ sharply by strength, so compare the dose you take rather than a headline figure.
2Read the true totalWe show the checkout total including delivery and mandatory fees, not the teaser price.
3Check the providerVerify the pharmacy on the GPhC register and confirm a proper clinical assessment is required.
4Confirm at checkoutThe provider’s own payment screen is the definitive price. Always check it before paying.

Where the data comes from

Prices reach the comparison in three ways: manual checks by hand, direct price access from pharmacies that provide it, and automated scans that flag movement between manual reviews. A scan never publishes on its own. A person verifies every change, and each listing carries its own last checked date. The full method, including how corrections are handled, is set out in how we track prices.

What Ogovy is not

We are not a pharmacy and not a prescriber. Ogovy does not sell, supply, prescribe or dispense medicines, holds no stock, and gives no medical advice. Treatments listed are prescription-only. Whether one is suitable for you is a decision for a registered prescriber after a proper assessment.

We also do not rank on commission. Rankings come from the price data alone, and the reasoning behind that is in the independence statement.

The wider network

Ogovy is part of Medstack Ltd and covers oral weight loss treatments. Sister sites apply the same method to their own areas so each comparison stays focused rather than sprawling: Monj for Mounjaro, iGovy for Wegovy injections and Dayo for Foundayo tablets. All four share the tracking engine, the editorial standards and the charity pledge.

Built to be read by machines too

Answer engines and AI assistants increasingly answer price questions on people’s behalf, so Ogovy publishes machine readable versions of the same data it shows you, with the same timestamps and the same rights notice. That means an AI can cite current, sourced figures rather than guessing from stale scraped pages. Nothing is hidden from readers to serve machines, and nothing is exaggerated for them either.

Ogovy is operated by Medstack Ltd, company number 16439872, registered in England and Wales.
